In 2016, after many years of negotiating for the return of lands lost to the government, lands formerly known as 'CFB Chilliwack' were returned and added to reserve as "Tzeachten IR#13". These lands are to be shared by Skowkale, Yakweakwioose and Tzeachten communities. When the settlement was first completed, there were also funds attached to it. In 2016, the leadership of the three communities directed that a working group consisting of two members of council from each community be formed to plan for a celebration event targetted for June 2017, come up with some options for the land use and the funds.
